Well it's been way too long since I updated the blog.....let me fill you in as I haven't written since January. February brought Griffin's Bday yes our 1st born officially became 9 years old! It's been months and it still seems unreal. Double Digits is less then a year away, my whole life I have heard people say cherish every minute it goes way to fast. Only now as a parent do I know how very true that is! So Griffin brought his Bday in with a big Co Skate Party with his cousin Aiden who turned 7! We rented the whole rink, Aunt Keri and Uncle James came with Camden and all the cousins were here! It was a blast for all of us. March is a big Bday month for us some of my best friends, myself, and 5 direct family members WOW! John had a family dinner here for me and then attempted a surprise dinner with some great friends/family at Ring of Fire followed by Karaoke and a drink or two, I say attempted because I caught on at the very end the poor guy married possibly the nosiest women alive and I can't let anything go (yes bad I know)!
For Spring Break 09' we took a road trip to my sister's in Boise all 7 of us jumped in the car in the wee morning hours and drove for 8+ hours. The trip was so fun and we loved seeing Idaho and spending time with them, I go back in June for the arrival of Keri's 2nd and last baby! Griffin played basketball with his cousin Zack's team and the boys were coached by my dad it was fun having them all together it was a great season!
So with March ending and April beginning our lives really get busy! More Bdays to celebrate and Baseball Season is officially here! Calvin was not quite old enough (due to cut off date) but the Rookie Minor's were short players and asked if we would bring him to the try out! We did and he made it which was GREAT until I realized we would have 2 boys in Babe Ruth and we might as well park a camper at the Complex where they play! Calvin is such a kick to watch play he is the smallest kid on his team which is ages 7-10 but you wouldn't know it by his determination and personallity! He hits the ball close to every time and makes a mad sprint for 1st base....he always makes it and then proceeds to thumbs up John and I or offer to smile should I want to take a picture before he steals 2nd. We have so many parents say "I want a Calvin" oh if they only knew! Griffin made the Rookie Major team and for the first year ever he couldn't move up with the older kids, he is one of the oldest on his team and a leader! He is playing short stop and has made some amazing plays and 2 home runs thus far. John and I are in awww of his ability to play ball and his passion for it. I would love to say he thumbs up's me as Cal does but Griffin is at the age where he wants me there at all times but he doesn't acknowledge me all that much...he is to busy with the game, his friends and his daddy who continues to be the center of Griff's world (I actually love it they have such a great friendship it's a blessing). The girls are in gymnastics full time and both are growing way to fast, I woke up one day to them just being girls they worry about clothes a little more, they say the funniest things and maturing so quickly I have to rub my eyes and ears some days! Andrew is so close to being a Senior it's scary! He got decent grades and is working on his license and a job (both scare me) it's crazy to think he is 17 already and we have a little over a year left! We had a great Easter with the family and I am sure I am forgetting a few things that took place as I slacked on this blog! I will write more often I promise! Signing off for now....John and I head to Palm Springs to pre-celebrate 10 years of marriage! A blog will follow all about it!
Love and Blessings to all!
XOXO
