Christmas Vacation Starts Early ......

So it's the week before the kids are out of school for Christmas Break and they are at home.....SNOW DAY's! All of them have been bouncing off the walls going in and out of the house to play. The girls decided to show off for the neighbors (our neighbor Jen is with the girls in a pic they love her) and face plant into the snow.....they learned all to quickly that the snow hurts when it's on your skin for too long so in the cam for hot baths and hot cocoa. Griffin doesn't like the snow all that much, he says you can't catch or kick the ball very well with all the hard snow on the ground and heaven forbid he not play a sport that day (we snagged no pics of him)! Of course that leaves Calvin who runs wild making snow balls and causing trouble up until he is hungry which means he is back at the front door every 10 minutes! Andrew is taking full advantage of no school by educating himself with myspace, extreme practice of texting and eating as if there is no food to be had in 2009! Overall though the snow is a hit at home with all of us, it makes me miss Klamath but gives me a piece of what we grew up in. John goes back to swinging the hammer this week as he has finished his 2nd Superintendant assignment and work is a little slow at Hyland, he hopefully will run work again in 2009 when this economy gets under way. Rates are low so I have been busier at work but really have been mostly busy with Holiday Preparations which I love, there is something about the anticipation of Christmas that makes me so happy and tired! Tomorrow night I am going to see It's a Wonderful Life on the movie screen, Regal is playing it for one night only and I have never seen this Holiday classic! The house looked gorgeous the night the snow started to fall I snuck outside at 10:30pm to snag a picture.

This is the first blog entry for me and I doubt you will hear from John all that often on this, he leaves the gabbing and updating to me..........I think I am up to it :) XO
